Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
is a
sophisticated health care system that originated in China over 2000
years ago. Today, TCM
draws upon traditional as well as scientific research and
evidence-based practice to restore health and physiological balance.
It is a holistic form of medicine that considers all aspects
of lifestyle when making a diagnosis.
The
fundamental principle of TCM is to establish and maintain the body’s
ideal internal balance to promote health and longevity.
It achieves this using techniques including acupuncture,
herbal medicine, tui na (massage), cupping, gua sha, moxibustion
(heat therapy), lifestyle and dietary advice.
Each
treatment is tailored to individual needs and requirements.
